~~NOTOC~~ <WRAP main> ====== Crowds and Cellular Automata (C&CA) ====== ===== Aims and scope ===== The workshop will focus on fundamental issues in the consolidated application of Cellular Automata approach to study the complex dynamics of crowds. In particular, this edition of the workshop will suggest a discussion on experimental work conducted worldwide by several research groups interested in Cellular Automata approach for crowd studies and its main goal will be the opening of a discussion on the possibility of building shared experimental frameworks and settings in order to enhance within the research community the sharing of data and information. The workshop is of interest both for developers of models and theoreticians working in the research field of Cellular Automata approach and from people belonging to the scientific community that is specialized on studying pedestrian and crowd dynamics. The workshop will be open to researchers from several disciplines (not only computer science and engineering science, but also social sciences, psychology, behavioral sciences, ... Previous four editions of this workshop has already been place starting from 2006 The workshop will be structured as a Full-day workshop with the traditional presentation of papers but also a coordinated discussion on the proposed workshop focus will be organized. Every paper will be reviewed by two members of a Programme Committee that will include researchers active in CA and pedestrian/crowd studies ===== Chairs ===== * Sara Manzoni, University of Milano-Bicocca, manzoni@disco.unimib.it * Jaroslaw Was, AGH University of Science and Technology (Kraków) ===== Program committee ===== * Andrew Adamatzky (University of the West of England Đ Bristol, UK) * Stefania Bandini (University of Milano-Bicocca Đ Italy) * Michael Batty (University College London - UK) * Dietmar Bauer (AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Austria) * Winnie Daamen (Delft University Of Technology, Netherlands) * Mizar Luca Federici (CROWDYXITY srl Đ Italy) * Ioakeim Georgoudas (Democritus University of Thrace Đ Greece) * Franziska Klźgl (…rebro University - Sweden) * Hubert Klźpfel (TraffGo GmbH Đ Duisburg, Germany) * Gerta Kšster (Munich University of Applied Sciences - Germany) * Tobias Kretz (PTV AG Đ Germany) * Sara Manzoni (University of Milano-Bicocca Đ Italy) * Shin Morishita (Yokohama National University, Japan) Bud Mishra (Courant Institute Đ New York University - USA) * Katsuhiro Nishinari (Tokyo University - Japan) * Andreas Schadschneider (Institute of Theoretical Physics Đ Cologne, Germany) * Armin Seyfried (Jźlich Supercomputing Centre Đ Jźlich, Germany) * Georgios Sirakoulis (Democritus University of Thrace, Greece) * G.
